Regulatory notices

Investments and insurance are regulated activities in Mexico. These are the rules we operate by.

Investments · TERVIA Capital

Giving personalized investment recommendations, or regularly charging for them, is investment advice, an activity regulated by Mexico's Securities Market Law (article 225 and following). Anyone providing it must be registered with the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), have AMIB-certified staff, profile each client before recommending anything and comply with anti-money-laundering rules.

TERVIA Capital will provide investment advice to third parties only once it holds that registration and meets those obligations. No disclaimer, presentation or document from TERVIA replaces registration with the CNBV.

Insurance

Offering and placing insurance policies, or earning commissions for doing so, requires a current insurance agent license issued by the National Insurance and Bonding Commission (CNSF).

At TERVIA every policy is placed through a licensed agent. Before you sign, we tell you which insurer issues the policy, which agent is involved and the commission that agent receives for the placement.

How to verify

You can confirm any investment adviser's registration with the CNBV (gob.mx/cnbv) and any insurance agent's license with the CNSF (gob.mx/cnsf). Complaints about financial services can be filed with CONDUSEF (condusef.gob.mx).
